Kundalini Yoga seeks to rise the energy lying dormant within all of us. Throughout the practice there will be concentrated focus on breath and movement as we seek to balance the body, mind and spirit while healing the adrenal system. We’ll conclude in a beautiful meditation, the final and most rewarding part of this ancient practice.
There will be no waiting for this oxygen filled Lunch! The menu is filled with an hour of vinyasa flow style yoga sure to energize the body, clear the mind, and put you in the spirit to face the rest of your day!
Just what it says, Meditation Class is an hour long sit on …Lovingkindness and awareness into how to release bodily and mental stress through mindfulness. All Proceeds go to the ASPCA, because Guruv Yoga loves all animals! and to our Karma Collection for Yogis in need of financial support for classes and trainings. Scholarships awarded on a monthly basis.
This class is offered to the community at a discounted rate of $5.00, and is taught by one of Guruv Yoga’s Teacher Trainees. Don’t let the word “trainee” fool you, this class will be an opportunity to experience an outstanding yoga class with some great new energy and talent in the yoga community.
A 55 minute fusion of Ballet Barre, Yoga and Pilates targeting all of the muscle groups while creating a well balanced, long, lean and strong body. Set to a great musical playlist that is sure to inspire. Socks are required.
Bhakti is the yoga of love and devotion to the god of one’s own unique understanding. There’s no dogma involved. The flow part refers to the flowing sequence known as vinyasa. Whether you are in a pose that you love or may not love, the flow is about bringing all that stuff to the surface so you can be with it as it is. In the practice of yoga, we use the body for self-discovery. In Bhakti Flow we look at the whole-the mind, the body, and the heart-and try to do the best to connect it all with the flow.
A gentle hatha yoga class. Great for new students, stress reduction, recovering from injuries, seniors (65+), or anyone wanting to start their day off in a blissful way….this class offered to our senior community (age 65 years and older) for $5 rate.
Yoga for everyBODY! Led in a traditional Hatha Flow Style with our signature “Guruvy FUN and MUSIC” This class is for all ages, sizes, genders and levels. Options, modifications will be given and pacing will be slower so that the practice is approachable for everyone.

One Hour of Vinyasa Flow Yoga and thirty minutes of Restoratives. A perfect way to end the work week and prepare for the weekend. Heat building asana practice and calming restoratives is the perfect combo, leaving the body and mind calm and clear.
Guruvy Kidz Yoga is a fun yoga class for children ages 4-10 years old.
Classes incorporate dynamic movement with story telling, games and songs.
Kids build strength, flexibility and self confidence in a non-competitive environment. They will learn various poses, breathing techniques and relaxation practices appropriate for each age. Team taught.
HOT YOGA consists of a balanced, healthy sequence of Hatha Yoga postures practiced in a heated room. HOT YOGA is appropriate for newcomers as well as experienced yogis; Athletes love HOT YOGA for the healing benefits of the sequences and the heat. BE PREPARED TO SWEAT! From head to toe the body will be invigorated and detoxified while sharpening mental focus and renewing the spirit.
HOT SLOW FLOW YOGA consists of a balanced, healthy sequence of Hatha Yoga postures praticed in a heated room. HOT SLOW FLOW is appropriate for newcomers as well as experienced yogis; HOT SLOW FLOW is a little slower than our traditional Vinyasa Flow classes, which makes the yoga practice a favorite among students who are newer to the practice. Athletes love HOT YOGA for the healing benefits of the sequences and the heat. From head to toe the body will be invigorated and detoxified while sharpening mental focus and renewing the spirit.
No previous experience in yoga is necessary, as this is a gentle yoga class focusing on breathing,stretch,relaxation,focus on preparation for giving birth and receiving a new life into the world. Strengthening the mother, child , mind, body and heart connection.

Traditional Yin Yoga practice done in a warm room…WHAT IS YIN YOGA? Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.
Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
While initially this style of yoga can seem quite boring, passive, or soft, yin practice can be quite challenging due to the long duration of the poses. We can remain in the postures anywhere from one to twenty minutes! Yin and yang tissues respond quite differently to being exercised. You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about. After you have experienced it, even just once, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice.
“Yummy Yin”Surrender is the essence of yin yoga. “Yummy Yin” is a perfect way to relax, renew, stretch and end your day. This one hour class will consist of 5-15 minutes of restorative yoga to ground, center and soothe, followed by 45 minutes of yin, finishing with a much deserved and possibly divine, Shavasana. Incorporating a yin practice promotes joint health, can prevent injury, encourages balance and complements any vinyasa practice. Yin yoga focuses on lengthening connective tissue typically in the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Postures are typically held for 3-10 minutes fostering relaxation, boosting energy. Bolsters and blankets are welcome.

I have experienced Yoga to be a pathway to Freedom and Unity. It has also served as an opportunity to learn many lessons in my life.
I started practicing yoga solely for the emotional benefits as a way to bring balance and spirituality that was sincerely lacking.
Little did I know this was only the beginning of a blossoming holistic mind, body experience.
My background consists of 13 years in the dance aerobics arena. I was also a marathon runner. My body needed respite and relief from aching joints. The practice of yoga has opened and healed my body in ways I never would have imagined. It has set my body free and led me to the most incredible journey of self awareness.
I decided to embark in a teacher training and in August 2011 I graduated with my 200 RYT from Guruv Yoga, Lake Mary. Since then, I have been teaching and sharing and learning the precious gift that yoga has to give.
I look forward to continuing to serve the community with an open heart and a spirit free….
