Trainees of this program will graduate as well trained, confident, and highly knowledgeable providers of hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, and power yoga classes. All graduates of this program will have an understanding of:

  • The impact trauma has on students as they participate in yoga classes
  • A strong grasp of anatomical safety and integrity based in biomechanics and kinesiology
  • A sense of self confidence that will allow them to carve a place for themselves within their local yoga culture

Our Leading Teacher ...

My teaching style is an amalgamation of my current work as a mental health counselor, a background in exercise science, many years spent as an athlete, a lifetime spent as an absolute nerd, and all of the amazing styles of yoga I have had the pleasure of studying over the years. When you attend one of my classes, you can expect a class that challenges you physically and mentally but not without a heaping helping of humor and levity.
Fundamentally, I teach from a place of trauma sensitivity and of anatomical alignment, safety, and structure. Theoretically, I teach from a place of existential philosophy and enjoy exploring themes such as meaning making, finding purpose in life, and learning how to value humanity and our ability to make choices. Spiritually, I teach from the perspective that we are all one and the same and we are each doing the best we can with the tools we have.

Styles of Yoga I teach: Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, Yin, Budokon
